In this universe, Maria was the only one who died. Frank got revenge for her still, but was more careful and never got caught or had his identity revealed and didn't go full punisher (even though he really really wanted to). A few years later, one of Matt's exes who he's lost contact with dies and he suddenly finds himself responsible for a kid he didn't know about. (Matt either quits or never was daredevil) Frank and Matt meet at something for the kids (school event maybe?) and hit it off.
