YO dude same like it's so interesting?? like i think in someways they definintly blindly followed (are you as upset about this pun as i am i hope you are) but like a he same time it kind of showed how much of an asshole stick was? he was definintly emotionally abused and messed up by stick ("he had this way of getting inside your head") but at the same time, he's rejecting that as a necessary evil? matt's learned, somehow (through foggy?) that while stick helped him, he was also an asshole, and that that abuse wasn't necessary, because he admits that stick was wrong and that he needs friends and he can't do this Tragic Male Hero gig because that's not possible, he can't do that like stick tried to beat in to him that he had to do.
