okay so maybe sometime somewhere some really really bad guy figures out that matt's the kind of hero type that can get his ass kicked until kingdom come, but can't handle the idea of anyone else getting hurt, so they (not even knowing about his ~*~*~super senses~*~*~) get a bunch of people, just random people, off of the streets, no one super special to matt, and they start hurting /them/.

and it's too much to matt, everyone so scared and yelling and there is too much noise, it smells too much like blood, too many hearts, beating, all at once never at the same time, and it's just, in general, too much, along with the knowledge that he's the one that they're after, and they're hurting all of these people to get to him, so it's his fault.

do with that what you will, i just need matt being completely overloaded and completely panicked, how he handles that and what he does to get out of that (if he does) is up to you.
