I love the contrast between Matt's somewhat violent thoughts (e.g. his references to beating thugs, his overall rage etc.) to Fisk's awkward gentleness. It's one of the things I found most interesting about the show- the fact that the hero and villain seem to flip/flop their roles.

I also love the physical contrast between them- Matt must look so fragile in Fisk's eyes (he's a much smaller man, blind and seriously wounded), while Fisk must seem like a giant to Matt's senses. *cough*sizekink*cough*
