So, in the comics, Matt is outed as Daredevil and in order to keep up appearances as being actually blind/helpless/wrongly accused/NO DAREDEVIL HERE, NO SIREE, he hires Jessica Jones (and Luke Cage) as his bodyguard.
Here, maybe we can do something a little differently?
Pre-established Matt&Jessica friendship, obvi.
So, Matt and Foggy are trying a high-stakes case - maybe with the mafia or something. Or maybe Foggy is accidentally a key witness is something super shady. Either way, there are some not-so-nice people calling for Foggy's blood and Matt is just not having it. Matt can protect Foggy well enough during the day, but he can't keep an eye on him 24/7. Cue Matt asking Jessica for a favor in helping to watch Foggy during the night hours in exchange for legal help or something, maybe.
Basically, I just want some Foggy&Jessica palling around and forming an unlikely hard-drinking-sarcastic-assholes brotp. Maybe Foggy even helps Jessica deal with the Luke situation in a 'Yeah, you lied to him about something key and fundamental, but as someone who was lied to about something key and fundamental myself, this is how you fix it' (Bonus points, Trish sometimes goes drinking with them and she and Foggy are kind of adorable flirts)
And maybe Jessica also unwillingly plays marriage counselor and is just constantly 100% DONE with Matt and Foggy's levels of self denial about being secretly and unsubtlely hardcore in love with each other. And we all know Jessica is AWFUL at feelings, so obviously this is just going to be an all around disaster. SHE WAS TOLD SHE WOULD MAYBE HAVE TO PUNCH SOMEBODY, SHE DID NOT SIGN ON FOR THIS.
