I was actually thinking about the issue in Ireland where he's killing, basically, teenagers, wondering how young is too young and thinking about why he'd kill actual child soldiers, (since in terms of choice and brainwashing it seemed kind of equivalent) although I don't remember if that was a hypothetical fear/justification or a thing he'd actually done, it was never on-panel
sometimes I'm not sure it's fair to apply MAX stuff to broader marvel characterization, because it's SO dark, but at the same time it really seems like the ground-down core of him ;_;
