Something like that. Not sure if Matt would still be allowed to act as a lawyer, or if he'd be disbarred as a result of his conviction.
I guess with the more impromptu vigilante acts it would depend on how well Foggy could argue that it was related to something they were involved with, or if he could swing some sort of retainer from the police for Matt to bring in criminals (think in terms of a bounty hunter almost).
And I'd imagine that as a convicted slave Matt would have to be marked somehow, the question is how...
