When Foggy suggests sleeping together as a way of de-stressing, Matt jumps at the chance. He's absolutely infatuated, and it's wonderful - Foggy's finally showing an interest in him, they're going to get together and be happy and be wonderful married avocados for the rest of forever...and then Foggy rolls out of bed as soon as it's done, thanks him for a good time and goes back to his own bed to sleep. Matt is quietly devastated, but if this is all he can have of his best friend, it's enough. He has absolutely no idea that Foggy is equally infatuated, but figures someone like Matt is never going to go for someone like Foggy for more than an occasional physical thing.
Bonus points for:
- Emphasis on both parties ridiculous low self-esteem where the other is concerned.
- Karen being quietly amused/horrified by the sheer amount of mutual 'I'm not good enough for Foggy/Matt' going on.
