OP: Hm, I'm fine with whatever works best for a filler, but the scenario I had imagined would have been Karen, still in the MCU, finding out about Matt being DD some way. Cue huge blow-up, 'can't believe you didn't TELL me!' etc, but not quite as bad as Nelson v. Murdock, because a) he saved her and b) he didn't keep that secret from her *that* long and c) she didn't tell him about Wesley, either.
Ideally, that revelation maybe happens during some stunt with the Avengers, where she gets a hint of a sort of crisis happening at the moment with 'alternate universes colliding' or something, just so she'll be better able to get a grip on the situation afterwards.
She goes to sleep that night, understandably kinda upset, but already sort of coming to terms with everything. Only she doesn't wake up in her apartment, but on a filthy mattress somewhere in a concrete bunker, in a country that is far hotter than New York should be.
(She's transferred over completely, btw, as in, she has a body that is neither malnourished nor drug-addled. Other than that, let's assume the Karens look identical.) Then she stumbles out to overhear a conversation that a) people think she's a crack whore about to sell out Daredevil and b) Fisk will pay good money for that information.
Karen runs, but this time, she's not simply running to get saved by Matt. She's going to *help* him save the city.
