I actually haven't been; I'm pretty shy about commenting, and the only thing that brought me out of the woodwork for this one was that I was curious whether it had been abandoned. But I do love both!
It's interesting the comparisons you draw between them; the first time I glanced at them, I was like "hm, the Avengers story is almost like a sequel to this one." But you're right, there are some pretty strong, subtle differences. Like, I'm pretty sure this Matt would burn the world down if it got him out of slavery, but he'd never show that to anyone. The other version is more at peace with what's happened, but he's also more than willing to tell Tony and the rest EXACTLY what he thinks.
I'm curious about what's going on in Matt's head in this story--we mostly see his POV in the future and past, not so much when he's meeting Foggy, and what little we see (or glean from Foggy, who's incredibly perceptive), he's starting to fight or slip up on his programming... but Foggy can't be fixing him THAT fast, so it makes me suspicious that Matt's inches away from his breaking point right now.
