Part of the problem with MCU Matt is he's an unreliable narrator. He has such deep self-worth issues and thinks he's so much worse of a person than what he really is. I love the moment when Matt goes to talk to Father Lantom about wanting to kill Fisk who tells Matt that murder isn't in his heart, and Matt scoffs and says how would he [Father Lantom] know?
