Author-anon here, and glad you enjoyed it! I have a few other scenarios in mind (including all of the bad guys being utterly perplexed by Daredevil's trash talk) and just have to come up with the puns to go with them.
It's funny though, because this actually could headcanon really well? Like, in my experience, people who enjoy puns tend to be people who are really interested in the sounds of words and in finding how similar sounds apply to words with really disparate meanings, and then finding ways to juxtapose those words against each other in amusing ways. So Matt, who had to learn new ways to listen to sounds after he was blinded, could totally have developed an interest in puns as a coping mechanism. And Foggy and the others may complain, but he knows that deep down they find his cleverness and dorkiness somewhat endearing. If it were ever really a problem, he would know it before they, like Stick, left him.
...Now I need to find puns for BabyPunster!Matt to say to Stick. Hmm...
