Okay, so hear me out. Matt gets uncomfortable sometimes when people hit out him (for whatever reason, maybe it's a fragrance they have on them, they are kind of creepy or are really bad at flirting, etc. Maybe it's just a really uncomfortable date that is happening). Matt tries to be polite, but he is clearly uncomfortable with the situation and doesn't really know what to do.

I want Foggy to witness this happening and deciding to do something to help Matt out...in a very dramatic way. He makes a complete scene in front of everyone around them, acting as if Foggy and Matt are actually a couple. Maybe he starts crying and tells Matt that their children keep asking when Dad is coming home.

It works and while Matt is happy that Foggy got him out of the uncomfortable situation, it was really embarrassing. Matt vows to get his revenge some way.

Doesn't matter if Matt and Foggy are just friends and it's just a thing Foggy does to help Matt out or if they are dating.
