Foggy finds a genie and gets three wishes, but because genies tend to be assholes because they're sick of being stuck in their lamps forced to serve whoever comes along, so they don't explain the rules properly. So Foggy doesn't know that if (for example) he wished to be rich, someone he knew would suddenly become very poor.

Foggy wishes that Matt could see, and the genie blinds Foggy instead.
