it makes sense, though. foggy's whole thing is that he's incredibly noble but sometimes has to be nudged into that role -- in this case, through proving to "ikari" that he is, in fact, a strong person. matt may be well known for being difficult but foggy is also incredibly stubborn and that's why they're such good friends -- they barely listen to anything other people tell them.
i agree, though. that finally had me tearing up and i'm so excited that waid is one of privileged few who wrote foggy as a human being with his own faults rather than comic fodder to matt's angst.
