indeed! anon, i've lived on the east coast all my life and i can give you a quick rundown of distances. i live about a half hour south of washington dc so here are some travel times based on that.
to philadelphia: about 3-4 hrs to new york city: about 4-5 hrs to boston: anywhere from 5-7 hrs (i've only travelled to boston by plane since my dad doesn't like to drive that long)
other good stuff to know: hell's kitchen is in the borough of manhattan and is very close to broadway.
typically, no one would use cabs as much as they seem to in the show because they're so damn expensive.
the subway is a good alternative but also the nyc subway is somewhat infamous for some Unique Types that ride those trains.
