Guys... Both approaches are fine. It doesn't have to be one or the other. Different authors have different styles and are or aren't as confrontational or are more or less nervous about wank. So I think really the OP here could take whichever advice works for them.

I don't see the point in bashing one or the other approach. Both are valid. And I've seen both sometimes still lead to wank. So it's a personal choice and nice that we all gave this author advice to consider. It's not a competition.
