That makes me wonder too - what would've happened if Stick stayed? My gut wants to say that Matt would still have his no-kill rule (everything-but-kill rule, rly) but then again, he did make up his mind to kill Fisk at one point. Not to mention, Matt was really young when he started training; those are some very formative years. Even if Matt kept his religion and his giant crush on Thurgood Marshall, I wonder what he'd be like. Murderdock? Something slightly more on this side of moral than Murderdock? Or maybe he'd even eventually leave Stick of his own volition, who knows.
Stick is a GODDAMN MYSTERY. Also a giant asshole. Ugh, it hurt so much to see Matt basically greet him like an old friend despite the abuse and even acknowledging that Stick was a dick. And you're completely right, what's up with all of the Chosen One stuff with Stone and why did Stick leave only to obviously keep very up-to-date with Matt's life? They're definitely setting up something big. Fingers crossed for season 2.
omg, I had no idea about Frank's Catholicism. That digs up so many delicious interesting questions, and so much conflict for Matt, depending on how they play with it in the show. Ahhhh, I'm so excited.
